On the 25th of April will be the beginning of another year of remembering the once that we lost during the war and the ones that protected our country and our familes and as everyone across the globe know that the Corona virus is spreading rapidly so most countries including New Zealand has made everyone stay inside their homes, so here are some ideas to remember those that have died for us.
1. You could make a poppy out of anything and try putting ti somewhere that people are able to see like on your windows or stick it on a wall.
2. If you wanted you could also get your the people in your bubble to come to the lounge and if you have a device you could play the last post which is normally play on ANZAC Day it symbolises the duty of the dead is over and they can rest in peace.
3. Lastly you if you have a device you could Skype, Face time, or even call your families just have a talk and see how they are and if they're keeping safe.
These are somethings you can do on ANZAC Day. I hope you are keeping safe and will do something special to remember the ones we lost but well never forget, thank you for reading!
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
ReplyDeleteBetween the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
